Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Ranger (OO5) within the Cairns South team, you will provide supervision to a small group and assist the Ranger in Charge in executing a broad spectrum of park management tasks. These encompass planning and implementing projects related to visitor oversight, asset upkeep, fire control, pest and weed management, conservation of natural and cultural resources, enforcement activities, and managing emergency response operations.

Additional Duties

You will play a key role in coordinating work schedules, overseeing resource allocation, maintaining comprehensive records and reports, delivering customer service and educational initiatives, and fostering strong, collaborative connections with Traditional Owners, local communities, governmental bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
