We are seeking a skilled Reels Editor who values creative expression over repetitive content production. Unlike typical short-form content roles focused on high volume, this position emphasizes quality and originality in video editing.

Primary Duties

• Craft engaging short-form reels and podcast clips by editing raw footage from creators and interviews to highlight captivating moments that connect with viewers.
• Monitor trends within creator niches and suggest innovative reel concepts that align with each individual creator's brand and personality.
• Ensure all content complies with platform standards, including appropriate framing, audio quality, and content suitability for target age groups.
• Work closely with the creative team to incorporate feedback and enhance edits to maximize viral potential.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven expertise in short-form video editing with an established portfolio of Instagram or TikTok reels that demonstrate high engagement and visual appeal; ability to learn and adapt is valued over exact tenure.
• Fluent English language skills necessary for clear communication and effective story crafting; Spanish proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Advanced capability in using CapCut software is mandatory; familiarity with DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro is highly appreciated. Use of macOS is required, indicating commitment to a high-quality professional workflow.
• Ability to pinpoint viral content moments and produce polished, well-structured edits outfitted with impactful hooks, seamless captions, and intentional text design.
• Strong creative ownership with an eye for aesthetics, and willingness to accept guidance and iterate accordingly.

Performance Goals

• Within 30 days: Aim for a daily output of about 20–25 edits with more than 80% of first drafts accepted; show clear understanding of brand and platform trends; propose at least one new format idea weekly.
• Within 60 days: Increase editing speed while sustaining quality, achieve over 85% first-draft approval, and contribute more than two trending format ideas weekly.
• Within 90 days: Reach a first-draft approval rate above 90%, proficiently handle reels and podcasts, introduce original format ideas adopted multiple times team-wide, and demonstrate measurable creative impact on performance.
