Position Overview
Careerscape seeks a meticulous Remote Typist on behalf of their client to join a growing administrative team. This role offers an excellent entryway into professional office work for individuals adept at typing swiftly and precisely, transforming handwritten notes, audio recordings, and rough drafts into polished, error-free documents.
Key Duties
- Transcribe, format, and edit documents using handwritten notes, audio files, or rough drafts
- Carefully proofread documents for spelling, grammar, and formatting accuracy
- Maintain organized and accurate digital records
- Adhere to daily and weekly typing targets and deadlines
- Consistently follow client-specific style guides and formatting standards
- Convert scanned or PDF documents into editable text formats
- Communicate with supervisors regarding workload and timelines
- Organize and label finalized files for straightforward retrieval
- Perform basic data entry as needed
- Identify and flag unclear or incomplete source materials for clarification
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Typing speed of at least 55 words per minute with high accuracy
- Strong English language skills including grammar, punctuation, and spelling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Docs
- Capacity to work independently with minimal guidance
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
- Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
- Effective time management to meet deadlines
- Previous transcription or data entry experience is advantageous but not essential
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary offered ranges between $60,000 and $82,000, determined by experience and qualifications. Additional compensation and benefits will be detailed during the hiring process.
