SAP ABAP RAP Developer

Role overview

We are looking for an SAP ABAP RAP Developer to build enterprise applications with the RESTful ABAP Programming Model on SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP. This role involves working across managed and unmanaged RAP scenarios, creating CDS-based data models, publishing OData services, and connecting backend development with SAP Fiori/UI5 experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using SAP ABAP RAP in both managed and unmanaged approaches.
• Build and enhance CDS views, including the required annotations for service exposure and behavior.
• Create and publish OData services using V2 and V4 standards.
• Develop backend business logic with object-oriented ABAP.
• Work closely with functional consultants and frontend developers working on Fiori/UI5.
• Perform unit testing and participate in peer reviews to maintain code quality.
• Tune and improve application performance on SAP HANA.

Required skills and experience

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in ABAP RAP and a solid working knowledge of CDS views, OData services, OOABAP, SAP HANA, and AMDP. Familiarity with SAP BTP is desirable. Experience with RESTful APIs, Git, and Agile delivery practices will be useful in this role.

Eligibility and qualifications

• Open to any graduate.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of SAP ABAP experience is expected.
• Overall experience required for the role is 6 to 12 years.
• SAP certifications in ABAP, RAP, or HANA are preferred.

Location

This position is based in Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, or Gandhinagar.
