Role overview

Pructon is seeking an experienced Second Class Welder for its workshop in Gladstone, Queensland. This is a full-time, on-site position with work scheduled Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturdays from 6:00 am to 12:00 am.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out carbon pipe welding in line with AS4041 and B31.3 requirements.
• Welding stainless steel Schedule 10 pipework to AS4041 and 1554.6 standards.
• Using GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes as part of day-to-day fabrication work.
• Working safely and effectively in and around pipe racks.
• Supporting work across local sites as required.

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience with carbon steel pipe welding.
• Practical experience welding Schedule 10 stainless steel pipework.
• EWP certification, if available, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Forklift certification, if available, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Good communication skills and a cooperative, team-focused approach.
