Security Officer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer based in Telford TF7 4QL to join our team. In this role, you will provide professional security services to safeguard employees, visitors, and company assets at a prominent technology facility. Working Monday to Friday on 12-hour day shifts, you will uphold safety and security standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, contractors, and property at Keysight Technologies.
• Perform internal and external security patrols preventing unauthorized site access.
• Monitor security systems, including CCTV, fire, and intruder alarms.
• Control site access by issuing visitor and contractor passes and managing locking/unlocking procedures.
• Oversee traffic management and enforce parking rules, ensuring accurate record-keeping and log maintenance.
• Support health and safety compliance by reporting hazards, faults, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain clear emergency escape routes and assist in emergency response.
• Investigate fire alarms and coordinate with the Security Operations Centre during incidents.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a front-of-house focus.
• Previous corporate security experience.
• Experience liaising with facilities and site management teams.
• Proficiency using IT and security system software.
• Dependability, punctuality, and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Valid SIA licence required.
• Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays as necessary.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a verified 5-year employment history.

Shift and Pay Details

The position works 12-hour day shifts from Monday to Friday and offers a pay rate of £13.45 per hour.
