Role Overview

The Senior Data Scientist role is embedded within TCS AI, a division focused on pioneering AI-driven technology services to fundamentally transform businesses. The unit prioritizes actionable AI integration across data infrastructure and intelligence layers, combining enterprise-grade platforms with model development and human-centered approaches to deliver tangible business results. Data forms the core of this revolution, enabling modernization of data ecosystems and AI infusion throughout customer value chains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement sophisticated algorithms and models to derive critical insights from complex datasets, with a strong emphasis on generative AI and large language model applications.
• Execute comprehensive exploratory data analyses to detect patterns, anomalies, and correlations across NLP, time series, and computer vision domains.
• Optimize pre-trained models via fine-tuning to enhance efficiency for targeted tasks and sectors.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams to clarify project goals and deliverables, integrating AI solutions seamlessly into production environments.
• Apply advanced statistical methodologies, machine learning, and deep learning architectures to address intricate business challenges and produce precise forecasts.
• Leverage cloud AI platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to develop scalable, high-performance AI applications.
• Implement MLOps strategies to ensure effective deployment, ongoing monitoring, and management of AI models.
• Utilize Python or R programming languages alongside essential libraries including pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Keep abreast of cutting-edge developments in data science, generative AI, and cloud-based AI technologies.
• Build, deploy, and maintain AI and Generative AI systems in live production settings.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists, offering expert technical support and knowledge sharing.

Qualification and Experience

A graduate degree is required, with preference for candidates holding advanced degrees in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related subjects. Experience should range from 10 to 17 years in relevant domains.

Location and Interview Details

Positions are available across India, with a preference for candidates located in Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, NCR, or Mumbai. Interviews will be conducted virtually.
