Senior Designer

Role Overview

This position offers a hands-on, influential role for an individual passionate about fashion design. As Senior Designer for Sneaky Link, the brand's in-house label, you will be instrumental in creating collections that are trend-forward, commercially viable, and distinctly Sneaky Link. Collaborating closely with the founders, you will oversee the process from initial concept and trend forecasting to fittings and final approval of products.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive global trend research on fashion elements such as color palettes, fabrics, silhouettes, and consumer behavior patterns.
• Keep track of competitors and the broader fashion market to spot chances for innovative design.
• Develop seasonal inspiration themes, mood boards, and trend presentations to steer the collection's direction.
• Create collections that resonate with Sneaky Link’s brand identity and customer preferences, ensuring commercial success.
• Plan seasonal product assortments across various categories with detailed design briefs designed in partnership with technical teams.
• Maintain a balance between trend appeal, product quality, wearability, and commercial viability in every design.
• Lead garment fittings offering precise feedback on fit, proportion, and construction quality.
• Assess samples to verify alignment with brand standards for quality and design.
• Collaborate tightly with product development to ensure accurate realization from concept to final sample.
• Continuously improve products to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Work with Creative and Marketing teams to develop campaign concepts, moodboards, and product launch strategies.
• Ensure product styling and collection storytelling are aligned with brand vision during photoshoots.
• Sustain brand consistency across all customer engagement points, including products and campaign visuals.
• Foster creativity, innovation, and high standards within the design team.
• Contribute to the evolution and strengthening of the Sneaky Link brand aesthetic as it grows.
• Offer ideas that creatively push the brand while keeping commercial objectives in mind.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior role in fashion design.
• Deep knowledge of trend forecasting, garment construction, and product development.
• Track record of creating commercially successful fashion collections.
• Outstanding taste and a thorough understanding of modern women’s fashion trends.
• Confident in leading garment fittings and making decisions on product development.
• Highly organized, proactive, and a strong team player.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and familiar with collaboration tools such as Notion, Slack, and Google Workspace.
• Passionate about contributing to the growth of an iconic Australian fashion brand.

Employment is full-time and onsite in Double Bay, New South Wales, Australia.
