Senior PLC Programmer

About the Role

Itsybizz AI Private Limited is seeking a skilled Industrial Automation and PLC Communication Engineer to join their team. The core focus is integrating industrial machinery with the Kontrolix Real-Time Production Monitoring Platform by establishing and maintaining reliable communication between machines and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement seamless integration of industrial equipment with the Kontrolix platform.
• Establish communication channels with various PLCs using protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, Profibus, and CAN.
• Configure PLC communication registers, memory maps, and tag addressing schemes accurately.
• Troubleshoot and resolve communication errors including blocked ports, network misconfigurations, and OEM restrictions.
• Set up and maintain industrial Ethernet networks, serial interfaces like RS232 and RS485, ensuring dependable data exchange.
• Connect PLCs with IoT Gateways, Edge Controllers, Industrial PCs, and SCADA systems for comprehensive monitoring.
• Gather critical machine data including production counts, operational status, cycle times, downtimes, alarms, and energy consumption metrics.
• Work across multiple PLC brands including Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and Keyence.
• Undertake machine commissioning, testing, validation, and on-site troubleshooting assignments.
• Collaborate with software teams to make PLC data available via APIs, MQTT, OPC UA, or database systems.
• Prepare detailed documentation such as communication architectures, register maps, wiring diagrams, and technical guides.
• Offer ongoing technical assistance during customer installations and production deployments.

Required Skills and Experience

• Extensive knowledge of industrial automation and control system fundamentals.
• Practical expertise with key industrial communication protocols including Modbus RTU and TCP, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, Profibus, and CAN/CANopen.
• Experience with major PLC manufacturers like Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, Allen-Bradley, and Schneider.
• Strong proficiency in managing Industrial Ethernet, TCP/IP networking, RS232/RS485 serial communications.
• Competence in troubleshooting communication disruptions and configuring network setups for industrial environments.
• Familiarity with HMI and SCADA system integration techniques.
• Understanding of Industrial IoT Gateways, edge computing devices, and their communication paradigms.
• Basic comprehension of electrical control panel layouts and wiring diagram interpretations.
• Added advantage if skilled in SQL, REST APIs, MQTT, or cloud connectivity methodologies.
• Flexibility and readiness to travel for commissioning tasks and customer support visits.

Additional Information

Compensation ranges from INR 25,000 to 70,000 per month depending on experience and qualifications. This position is based in Delhi-NCR and requires on-site presence.
