Deskripsi pekerjaan
Role overview
This position is based in Doha, Qatar, with a residential single status arrangement. The assignment is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and finish in March 2028.
Core focus
The Senior Procurement Engineer will support EPCIC procurement and expediting activities, with responsibility for resolving vendor-related issues, maintaining delivery momentum, and coordinating closely with engineering, QA/QC, contracts, planning, construction, commissioning, ATEX, FOPS, and other relevant disciplines throughout the contract lifecycle.
HSE, conduct, and compliance
The role requires consistent demonstration of strong HSE behavior and active enforcement of HSE rules within the assigned area. All work must be performed in line with company values, policies, standards, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Information handled during the assignment must be treated as confidential.
Key duties
The engineer will be part of the EPCIC Procurement and Expediting Team and will attend SCM and expediting meetings to flag actual or potential vendor delays to the EPCIC Contractor. The role also includes participation in vendor progress meetings, follow-up with package managers and expeditors on vendor progress, and review of the Expediting Status Report to escalate slippages to the Senior Procurement Engineer (Lead) and Planner.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing VMDR items and driving completion of pending vendor document submissions for Campaign 1 and Campaign 2, including the Vendor Data Book. The incumbent will also check vendor documentation in MANASA, the company document control system, and review EPCIC Contractor surveillance plans with QAQC leadership to ensure proper execution by the contractor.
The position further involves assessing vendor progress reports against production schedules, conducting field expediting for major or problematic packages, and coordinating with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams when schedule slippages occur so that corrective actions can be proposed and implemented by the EPCIC Contractor and vendors.
The role also covers procurement risk identification and mitigation planning, as well as review of FAT plans and Cyber Security FAT plans with internal disciplines to ensure the right teams participate in FAT, EX inspections, and Cyber Security FAT. Punch lists must be closed at the vendor facility after FAT, with the goal of reducing carryover to the construction yard.
Work status
This is a residential assignment with single status.
