Position Overview

The Technology team at Revolut is responsible for building and maintaining the backbone systems powering the app and services used by millions worldwide. The team embraces clean architecture, rapid delivery, and robust engineering practices including TDD, DDD, and CI/CD.

This role is focused on backend development for the Core Platform, where you'll develop and refine key frameworks and solutions ensuring quality, maintainability, and speed. The technology stack includes Java 17/21, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Redis, and related monitoring and deployment tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance and maintain the core platform's backend systems.
• Optimize developer workflows by improving internal libraries and frameworks.
• Contribute to the event store platform development.
• Participate in the improvement and sharing of open-source internal libraries.

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• At least six years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and experience with continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
• Quick learning capabilities coupled with an ambitious and goal-oriented mindset.
• Effective teamwork abilities within dynamic and fast-moving environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English language.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kotlin or Scala languages.
• Background knowledge in financial services.
• Experience working in startups or scaling companies.
• Hands-on exposure to product-driven software development environments.
