A top technology company is seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to oversee, maintain, and enhance Microsoft SQL Server database systems. The role requires a seasoned professional capable of ensuring database performance, security, and reliability for critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor the health of SQL Server instances to detect and resolve performance issues.
• Optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans to improve overall database efficiency.
• Implement robust database security measures, manage user access, and enforce compliance guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve database-related problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate closely with application developers to refine database architecture and boost performance.
• Document database configurations, create standard operating procedures, and maintain operational documentation.
• Provide support across production, user acceptance testing (UAT), and development database environments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 4 to 8 years of practical experience managing SQL databases.
• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server installation, setup, and administration.
• Strong command over writing SQL queries, managing indexes, and analyzing execution plans.
• Experience working with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and database replication techniques.
• Familiarity with database monitoring tools and comprehensive understanding of database security and managing permissions.
