About the Role
We are seeking a Stock Controller to maintain ideal inventory levels, accurate stock records, and efficient supply chain workflows within a designated branch. This role involves managing inbound and outbound goods, avoiding stock shortages or excesses, performing inventory audits, and working collaboratively with branch, warehouse, and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor stock quantities at all store locations to guarantee product availability.
- Keep meticulous inventory data updated within the system.
- Allocate stock effectively based on sales trends and demand forecasts.
- Prevent scenarios of overstocking or running out of products.
- Carry out regular stock audits daily, weekly, or monthly as required.
- Investigate any inconsistencies in stock and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure all stock movements, including receipts, transfers, and returns, are accurately documented.
- Keep physical inventory checks aligned with system records.
- Oversee smooth stock transfers between stores and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with merchandising teams, particularly in Kuwait, to plan stock orders according to sales and stock needs.
- Generate periodic stock performance reports highlighting fast-moving, slow-moving, and out-of-stock items.
- Analyze inventory data to identify risks such as ageing products, shortages, or surpluses and make recommendations.
- Uphold proper storage and handling practices adhering to brand standards.
- Maintain organized stock areas and comply with company inventory policies and procedures.
- Work closely with store management, supervisors, operations, warehouse, and logistics to resolve stock issues and coordinate efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of four years’ experience in retail stock control or inventory management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in managing inventory data.
- Strong analytical capabilities to prepare insightful reports and interpret stock trends.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple store locations.
- Effective communication skills and a cooperative team-oriented approach.
