Role overview
South Pacific Welding Group is hiring a full-time Store Person for its Portsmith, Cairns site in Queensland, Australia. This position supports industrial and trade customers through customer service, sales assistance, order handling, stock control and warehouse coordination. The work is practical and varied, and may involve heavy lifting, accurate data entry, resolving issues and helping customers by phone and face to face. Experience with SAP is an advantage, and strong computer ability is important.
Key duties
- Provide technical guidance and practical solutions while delivering a strong customer experience.
- Handle customer complaints quickly and professionally.
- Work closely with colleagues and other departments to support day-to-day operations.
- Spot local growth opportunities and help maintain smooth warehouse workflows.
- Support overall branch performance through efficient service and coordination.
- Enter and process orders accurately and on time in SAP.
- Follow SPW safety policies and procedures at all times.

- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- A strong customer-first mindset.
- Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication or a similar trade is highly valued.
