OpenAI's Enterprise Go-To-Market team supports major corporations to adopt and expand the use of our AI platform, including ChatGPT Enterprise and other developer APIs. We collaborate with clients in Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Retail sectors to craft AI-driven customer experiences, enhance operations, and revolutionize workflows in complex and regulated industries. As AI adoption grows through pilots and innovative use cases, our team works to scale these initiatives into permanent enterprise-wide implementations.

About The Role

This position serves as a foundational role for future sales leaders at OpenAI, offering strategic engagement with enterprise sales, product management, and customer strategy. It provides an opportunity to refine abilities in discovery, stakeholder engagement, deal development, and executive communications while gaining insight into how top organizations implement AI.

Ideal candidates have 4 to 6 years or more of relevant professional experience and are motivated to progress into accomplished enterprise sales professionals. Advancement paths commonly lead to roles such as Account Director or broader go-to-market positions, driven by performance and organizational needs rather than fixed timelines.

The role involves identifying, shaping, and advancing complex enterprise opportunities by transforming product usage, pilots, and incoming demand into qualified, high-value deals for large Enterprise and Strategic Accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Account Directors on developing account strategies, expanding stakeholder engagement, and advancing deals.
• Plan and implement targeted outbound campaigns leveraging industry knowledge, stakeholder analysis, and product indicators to penetrate key accounts.
• Conduct thorough discovery to understand business priorities, map stakeholder ecosystems, and evaluate preparedness for enterprise adoption.
• Participate in pipeline reviews by reporting on outreach activities, account intelligence, and competitive insights.
• Create and refine AI-powered go-to-market workflows using tools like GPTs and agents to improve prospecting and qualification efficiency.

Preferred Experience and Traits

• Minimum of four years in enterprise sales or strategic client-facing roles, preferably in finance or consulting sectors.
• Proven history of consistently achieving or surpassing challenging sales targets within strategic or enterprise sales environments.
• Experience engaging with regulated or complex industries such as Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Retail.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence to establish credibility with senior leaders, including C-suite executives and technical decision-makers.
• Strong enthusiasm for AI technologies with the capacity to align OpenAI solutions to tangible customer benefits and business outcomes.
• A passion for promoting emerging technologies and assisting market understanding of AI possibilities.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting quickly, and taking ownership of responsibilities.
