Supply Chain Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead and enhance comprehensive supply chain operations. This role involves managing the seamless flow of products, materials, and information, from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficiency, cost reduction, and superior service levels. The successful candidate will coordinate procurement, inventory, logistics, supplier relations, demand forecasting, and distribution activities. Collaboration across departments including procurement, operations, warehouses, logistics, finance, sales, suppliers, and senior management is key to establishing a dependable and agile supply chain that fuels business expansion.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives and customer needs.
• Supervise all supply chain functions including procurement, sourcing, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, transportation, and distribution.
• Guide and oversee supply chain teams to meet operational, financial, and service targets.
• Create demand forecasts and supply plans, and establish inventory and replenishment strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Track inventory metrics, monitor stock availability, turnover rates, carrying costs, and manage risks related to stockouts or overstocking.
• Maintain supplier relationships, conduct contract negotiations, evaluate supplier performance, and lead strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with procurement to identify cost-saving measures and enhance purchasing efficiency.
• Work with logistics and warehouse personnel to optimize transportation, distribution, storage, and delivery processes.
• Utilize KPIs, dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics to monitor supply chain performance.
• Identify risks including disruptions, capacity issues, and supplier challenges, developing contingency plans accordingly.
• Ensure availability of materials and resources to meet production, operational, and customer demand.
• Analyze supply chain costs and spearhead initiatives to increase efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize spending.
• Partner with finance for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis tasks.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, and customer service to synchronize supply with demand and business plans.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and relevant regulations.
• Integrate supply chain technologies such as ERP and inventory management tools to enhance operational visibility and effectiveness.
• Prepare performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for leadership.
• Drive continuous process improvements focused on automation, cost control, service excellence, and resilience.
• Stay informed on emerging supply chain technologies, market trends, and best practices to foster innovation.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, inventory, logistics, warehousing, and distribution.
• Proven leadership experience managing end-to-end supply chain teams and interdepartmental collaborations.
• Expertise in demand planning, forecasting, inventory optimization, sourcing, procurement, and KPI-based performance management.
• Strong leadership ability combined with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with sound decision-making capabilities.
• Experience overseeing supply chain budgets, contracts, cost control, and operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in ERP software, supply chain management platforms, inventory systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite is an advantage.
• Deep understanding of KPIs, data-driven reporting, and continuous performance improvement methods.
• Competence in risk management, business continuity, and contingency planning strategies.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and adapt to shifting market and operational demands.
