Support Engineer

Overview

Mavenir is looking for a skilled Support Engineer to join its EMEA Operations team based in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering expert technical assistance on mOne products and deployment processes, acting as the main liaison among customers, Operations, and R&D teams to ensure smooth communication, swift problem-solving, and effective knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Forge strong collaboration channels with R&D teams, serving as the primary support contact.
• Assist customers in hardware replacements and conduct acceptance testing procedures.
• Thoroughly diagnose problems using logs, diagnostic tools, and programming expertise before escalating issues.
• Address customer problems within SLA limits and provide timely progress reports.
• Create technical documentation tailored for customers and support teams.
• Offer technical assistance to R&D, Delivery, and Operations departments through design, implementation, and testing stages.
• Train internal staff on product features and comprehensive solution delivery.
• Review and update documentation to maintain high technical standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong background in UNIX OS, particularly Solaris or Red Hat Linux.
• Competency in UNIX system administration tasks.
• Hands-on experience with coding and software development principles.
• Proficient in installation, upgrade, and configuration of hardware and software.
• Familiarity with software engineering concepts and SIP protocol.
• Experience with Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Sun hardware systems.
• Understanding of IP network architecture and Cisco router setups.
• Mobile network domain experience is preferred.
• Ability to conduct onsite hardware repairs and component replacements.
