Engineering - Technical Services Engineer

Role overview

Singapore Airlines is looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join the Technical Services team within the SIA Engineering Division. The role focuses on the airline’s aircraft fleet and covers day-to-day operational support, performance enhancement, technical analysis, and defect investigation.

What you will do

• Support the technical side of fleet operations so aircraft run efficiently and reliably.
• Check that engineering designs and changes comply with Singapore Air Navigation Order, Singapore Airworthiness Requirements, and Airworthiness Notices.
• Work with Engineering, Flight Operations, and SIA Engineering Company teams to investigate issues and resolve defects.
• Review proposals from aircraft and engine manufacturers, as well as component suppliers, and suggest changes that can improve aircraft, engine, and component performance and reliability.
• Perform operational studies on the SIA fleet to identify ways to improve overall performance.

What we are looking for

• A degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong ability to work on your own while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Good people skills, as the role involves regular coordination with several internal departments.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to diagnose issues and recommend practical fixes.
• Willingness to work extended hours when needed to address operational or technical problems.
