Role Summary
We are seeking a Technical Support Engineer skilled in the hands-on aspects of uPVC window and door fabrication, installation, and quality control. The position's focus is on providing technical assistance to fabricators, performing site visits, ensuring installation quality, and troubleshooting technical issues. This role does not involve responsibilities related to window design or cost estimation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality during the fabrication and installation of uPVC windows and doors at project sites, fabrication units, and factories.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot installation challenges.
- Offer training and guidance to fabricators aligning with VEKA installation standards.
- Carry out quality inspections and generate Daily MIS and Site Visit Reports.
- Collaborate with internal departments for timely resolution of technical queries.
- Undertake mandatory travel of 10 to 15 days per month within the allocated region.
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Practical knowledge of uPVC window and door fabrication and installation processes.
- Experience in conducting site visits, factory inspections, and performing quality assurance checks.
- Basic proficiency in MS Excel and MIS report preparation.
- Strong communication abilities and effective problem-solving skills.
- Readiness to undertake frequent travel (10–15 days monthly).
Desired Candidate Profile
- A holder of ITI or Diploma in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Between 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Background in uPVC, Aluminium, fenestration, building materials, construction, or manufacturing industries.
- Hands-on exposure working at fabrication units, factories, and project sites.
- Customer-oriented with a proactive mindset.
Additional Job Information
- Working days: 6 days per week.
- Expected travel requirement: 10 to 15 days a month.
