TIG/MIG Welder

Job Overview

We are looking to hire welders across the greater Cleveland region, welcoming candidates of all experience levels who are dependable and capable of independently managing their work while meeting production targets and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate welding machinery to fuse metal parts using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW/TIG) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW/MIG) techniques.
• Handle various metals including aluminum, stainless steel, and steel confidently.
• Employ tools such as micrometers and dial calipers to make precise measurements.
• Monitor welding and fitting activities to prevent overheating or distortion of materials.
• Secure components by clamping, tack-welding, grinding, or bolting to maintain correct positions before welding.
• Utilize part-specific fixtures when available.
• Perform welding in diverse orientations including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Inspect work pieces for flaws and verify dimensions with straight edges, templates, and tape measures to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Set up welding equipment for optimal efficiency.
• Check welds for bead size and overall quality, removing any excess spatter.
• Produce and inspect parts following blueprint standards.
• Conduct inspections on first, in-process, and final pieces according to prints.
• Safely operate welding tools, grinders, buff wheels, and other fabrication devices.
