Role overview
This is a full-time in-store commercial ladieswear position within ZARA, based in Sheffield, England. The role reports into the Commercial Manager / Department Manager and focuses on creating strong product presentation, supporting store performance, and maintaining excellent customer experience.
Merchandising and commercial display
- Manage store merchandising in line with company visual standards and guidelines.
- Showcase new collections and product launches in an effective and appealing way.
- Support the Commercial Manager in developing and implementing creative visual concepts across the store.
- Use store fixtures, mannequins, tables, wall displays, layouts, and furniture appropriately to strengthen presentation.
- Plan commercial and visual activities on a daily, weekly, and seasonal basis, including special trading days.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly commercial reports and money mapping data to adjust product placement and react to sales trends.
- Stay current on in-store product availability, including footwear, accessories, and fragrances.
- Monitor fashion trends and share observations on competitor activity.
Store operations
- Work closely with the Operational Manager to ensure digital devices are used correctly and consistently.
- Track stock levels and update the Commercial Manager on product requirements.
- Support all product-related processes, including warehouse activity, orders, and reporting.
Training and development
- Take part in the training and development of commercial team members.
- Assist the Commercial Manager in onboarding and training new starters.
Customer service
- Help deliver a high standard of customer satisfaction in store.
- Resolve customer questions and know when to escalate issues to senior management.
- Support customer service by sharing product knowledge, awareness of new arrivals and bestsellers, and suggesting suitable alternatives using the store’s services and technology.
Health, safety and sustainability
- Maintain strong housekeeping standards across all store areas and report accidents to senior management when needed.
- Stay alert to workplace risks affecting both staff and customers and follow safe working practices and company procedures.
- Follow the company Health & Safety Policy at all times.
- Act as an ambassador for the company’s sustainability initiative and support efforts to find innovative, cost-effective ways to improve sustainability.
Experience and qualifications
- Prior experience in fashion retail is required.
- Awareness of the market, commercial activity, and competitors is important.
- A strong eye for visuals and creative thinking are needed.
