Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out all essential food and beverage service tasks adhering strictly to the hotel's performance standards.
• Welcome, seat, and serve guests professionally, discretely, and with personalized attention.
• Develop thorough knowledge of the outlet's food and beverage menu to effectively advise guests.
• Consistently ensure high quality in all food and drinks served.
• Maintain strong customer relations and address complaints or inquiries promptly and satisfactorily.
• Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards within the outlet and maintain all service equipment.
• Manage all necessary preparations before, during, and after service, including mis-en-place and mis-en-scene procedures.
• Minimize wastage, breakage, and spoilage to optimize resources.
• Employ proactive upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants ideally possess a diploma or degree in hospitality or vocational training in food & beverage, along with prior experience as a waiter or waitress in a busy restaurant. Proficiency in English is essential, accompanied by strong guest service and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with a genuine passion for hospitality, maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while remaining calm under pressure, paying close attention to detail, and demonstrating competencies such as adaptability, customer focus, recognizing diversity, accountability, teamwork, and a comprehensive understanding of the role is important.
