Warehouse Supervisor

Role Purpose

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse operations. This includes ensuring the safety of all staff, and managing the effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, while meeting all productivity goals.

Key Duties and Outcomes

• Champion Rotork's Environmental Health and Safety policies by promoting safe behaviors, identifying and resolving hazards, and ensuring investigation and closure of accidents and incidents.
• Lead warehouse operations following the Rotork Management Operations System and implement warehouse policies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Guide and develop the warehouse team through training, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Ensure precise and efficient warehouse processes, including deployment and maintenance of part plans.
• Manage stock movement accuracy and control, ensuring achievement of shift targets and deliverables.
• Oversee warehouse Tier 1 SQDCP processes and coordinate information flow into Tier 2 processes.
• Plan internal and external resource and capacity needs based on production demands.
• Promote and apply lean principles, mentoring the team accordingly.
• Implement rigorous 5S methodology and maintain strict adherence to warehouse and inventory management standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits of the warehouse and yard to ensure compliance.
• Maintain warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet trucks, scales, and racks to compliance standards.
• Serve as the key user for warehouse management and automated storage and retrieval systems.
• Lead cycle counts and stocktaking exercises to improve inventory accuracy and control.
• Be accountable for all warehouse performance metrics and lead root cause analysis with corrective measures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in warehousing and inventory control procedures.
• Proven achievement in delivering Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives within a warehouse setting.
• Experience managing warehouse management systems.
• Leadership experience managing teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in common software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive or fast-moving consumer goods warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
