The company emphasizes durable, cost-effective electric tractors to promote sustainable agriculture and boost farm profitability and productivity.
Internship Overview and Responsibilities
The intern will support vehicle integration tasks with a strong focus on the packaging and assembly of electric vehicle components and traditional mechanical parts. Key duties include:
- Managing Digital Mock-Up (DMU) tasks such as space-claim management, interference checks, and clearance analysis using 3D CAD software.
- Handling packaging aspects for electric vehicle elements like battery packs, electric motors, thermal management, and high-voltage wiring harnesses.
- Maintaining and updating the Engineering Bill of Materials (eBOM) within the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including release processes.
- Tracking engineering change requests (ECO/ECN), managing data maturity stages, and ensuring data integrity across various vehicle configurations.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams including Battery, Powertrain, Software, Hydraulics, Sourcing, and Testing to resolve design, packaging, or assembly challenges.
- Collaborating with shop floor personnel during prototype assembly to address routing issues with hoses and cables, assembly sequence conflicts, and serviceability problems.
Applicant Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must commit to a full-time, in-office internship lasting six months, starting between July 10, 2026, and August 14, 2026.
- Candidates should possess relevant skills and a keen interest in the field; women returning or starting their careers are encouraged to apply.
- Educational background should include Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering with strong mechanical skills, or Agricultural Engineering.
- Experience from 0 to 1 year, including prior internships or academic projects related to electric vehicles, tractors, construction equipment, or competitive student motorsport events like formula or ATV.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or Siemens NX for 3D modeling, assembly, and drafting is essential.
- Familiarity or foundational knowledge of the Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE platform is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of electric vehicle architecture components such as cells, battery packs, motors, controllers, and thermal cooling systems is expected.
- Knowledge of tractor or off-road vehicle systems including chassis design, structural castings, heavy-duty axles, and hydraulic lifting is beneficial.
- Strong grasp of engineering mechanics, tolerance stack-up analysis, and basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- Exceptional organizational skills, particularly managing detailed engineering data like multi-level BOMs and PLM workflows.
- Preference will be given to candidates involved in SAE, BAJA, or similar curricular projects.
Compensation and Benefits
This internship offers a monthly stipend ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 INR. Additional advantages include a certificate of completion, a letter of recommendation upon successful completion, a relaxed dress code, and a workweek of five days.
