Internship Overview
Join Hunt Digital Media as an intern and contribute to the design and development of a USB LTE/GSM Gateway for practical telecom applications. This remote internship offers hands-on exposure to embedded systems hardware, embedded Linux environments, PCB design, and telecom communication technologies. Interns will engage in hardware testing, debugging, and product development processes aligned with real-world telecom product requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in creating USB LTE/GSM Gateway hardware utilizing LTE modules for telecom applications.
- Design and revise PCB schematics and layouts with tools such as KiCad or Altium Designer.
- Interpret datasheets of hardware components, integrated circuits, and chipsets to aid development.
- Handle hardware interfaces involving power supplies, USB, SIM card slots, UART, antennas, and embedded electronic systems.
- Test LTE/GSM modules via AT commands and troubleshoot communication channels over UART and USB.
- Configure and evaluate LTE modem hardware integrated with Linux-based and embedded Linux systems.
- Conduct functional tests for voice calls, SMS, LTE data connectivity, ensuring reliable telecom communication.
- Participate in audio routing implementations and voice call functionality assessments.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, hardware validation, performance tuning, and optimization of embedded systems.
- Support integration testing of SIP, VoIP, and Asterisk based telecom communication hardware.
- Document hardware designs, PCB revisions, test scenarios, debugging outcomes, issues observed, and propose enhancements.
- Contribute throughout the product lifecycle including component selection, design, testing, debugging, manufacturing assistance, and integration.
- Gain expertise in GSM and SIP gateways, VoIP devices, Embedded Linux platforms, IoT communications, and telecom hardware design.
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while collaborating effectively with the engineering team.
