About the Internship

Tax-O-Smart LLP is engaged in creating innovative tax and accounting solutions tailored for diverse business frameworks. We are searching for dedicated interns to join our Java Development team, focusing on creating backend applications with Spring Boot. This internship offers hands-on experience in advanced Java programming within a dynamic and real-world context.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Spring Boot framework.
• Apply Object-Oriented Programming and advanced Java concepts to implement complex business logic.
• Create and expose RESTful APIs while ensuring smooth integration with front-end interfaces and external systems.
• Utilize advanced Spring Boot features including Spring Data JPA/Hibernate for ORM, Spring Security mechanisms like authentication, authorization, JWT, OAuth2, exception handling, Aspect-Oriented Programming, caching via EhCache and Redis, and scheduling functionality.
• Handle database transactions, optimize connection pooling, and improve system performance.
• Work with various databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB for data storage and retrieval.
• Develop and maintain a microservices architecture facilitating effective inter-service communication.
• Ensure APIs adhere to security standards, perform optimally, and follow best integration practices.
• Produce clean, testable, and maintainable code based on industry standards.

Candidate Eligibility

• Applicants must be available for a full-time internship onsite at Mumbai.
• Internship start date should range between July 20, 2026 and August 24, 2026.
• Commitment to a 6-month internship duration is required.
• Relevant academic background, preferably in Computer Science Engineering, and interest in Java and Spring Boot development is necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong programming proficiency in Java version 17 or higher, with expert knowledge in Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Understanding of microservice architectural principles and inter-service communication techniques.
• Knowledge of frontend API integration using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Familiarity with API documentation standards and tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.
• Experience with software tools like Git, Maven or Gradle, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Additional Information

This role demands a developer proficient in crafting scalable, secure backend applications within the Spring ecosystem. The selected intern will participate in building performant REST APIs, integrating third-party services, and maintaining seamless front-end communication.

Compensation & Perks

Interns will receive a stipend ranging from INR 8000 to INR 12000 per month alongside a certificate upon successful completion of the internship.
