Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks at our Rajkot office. The role involves recording financial transactions using Tally/ERP, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements like GST and TDS, and supporting financial closing and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping records.
- Record purchase, sales, payment, and receipt vouchers using Tally Prime or ERP systems.
- Prepare and manage GST and TDS filings along with other statutory compliances.
- Perform reconciliation of bank statements, ledgers, and customer/vendor accounts.
- Generate invoices and uphold orderly financial documentation.
- Support monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports and the finalization of accounts.
- Liaise with Chartered Accountants, auditors, and internal departments when required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in B.Com, M.Com, or an equivalent qualification in accounting/finance.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred; candidates new to the field with proficiency in Tally are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime software and Microsoft Excel.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental accounting principles, GST, TDS, and bank reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical abilities combined with effective organizational skills.
