Overview
We are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to assist with daily operations at a healthcare organization based in Washington, D.C. This temporary role is suited for an individual who excels in organization, pays great attention to detail, and maintains a service-oriented approach to administrative duties within a home health care environment. The coordinator will manage schedules, handle communications, and support seamless office functions to benefit both healthcare staff and patients.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee administrative activities that support daily operations in a home health setting.
- Maintain and coordinate calendars, appointments, and schedules for internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Professionally handle incoming calls, respond to routine questions, and direct urgent inquiries appropriately.
- Arrange visits, meetings, and relevant engagements, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Prepare, update, and organize necessary administrative documents, correspondence, and records.
- Facilitate effective communication among departments, field personnel, and external contacts to ensure smooth workflows.
- Track deadlines, follow up on outstanding tasks, and support timely completion of assignments.
Position Requirements
- Previous experience in administrative support within office or healthcare environments, demonstrating strong detail orientation.
- Knowledge or familiarity with home health care or related healthcare operations is an advantage.
- Capability to manage inbound phone communications courteously and professionally.
- Excellent skills in calendar management, scheduling, and prioritizing tasks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient with common office software and administrative tools.
