Team and Business Overview

The Internal Firm Services (IFS) division underpins PwC by providing managed services and operational capabilities that meet evolving client needs. Within IFS, the AI Centre of Excellence (AI CoE) acts as the hub for AI strategy, product development, and scaling innovative AI platforms including LLM and RAG stacks, primarily on Azure. The CoE collaborates with Design and Technology teams while focusing on governance, cost and risk control, and workforce skilling to accelerate AI adoption across services.

Role Summary

The AI Frontend Engineer will be a vital member of a cross-functional team tasked with creating engaging user experiences for AI-driven products from conceptualization through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop production-ready single-page applications using React/Next.js with TypeScript and state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
• Build UI components adhering to the design system, including theming and support for right-to-left languages like Arabic.
• Integrate front-end applications with AI backend services via REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets, managing streaming and long-running tasks.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows (OAuth/OIDC), including token management and protection against CSRF and clickjacking.
• Maintain code quality via unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools like Jest, Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Enhance performance through techniques like code splitting, memoization, lazy loading and collect user experience metrics using Web Vitals.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, managing releases, feature flags, and staged rollouts.
• Collaborate with UX teams on usability testing, offering feedback to improve design feasibility and application performance.
• Document front-end practices and component APIs; engage in peer code reviews to elevate code standards.
• Commit to ongoing learning to stay current with evolving front-end and AI-related technologies.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Between 1 to 3 years of experience in front-end software development delivering web applications.
• Hands-on experience integrating front-end interfaces with API endpoints and AI or data-oriented services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency with React/Next.js frameworks, TypeScript, and modern state management solutions.
• Backend development exposure using Node.js or Python frameworks like FastAPI, NestJS, or Express.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Model (LLM) orchestration, with tools such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, and vector search databases such as Chroma or FAISS.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization using Azure AD, Auth0, and designing secure APIs.

• Fluent in English with proficiency in Arabic preferred.
