Application Engineer - Radiology

Role Overview

The Application Engineer for Radiology will manage product demonstrations, provide application training, and deliver technical assistance specifically for Radiology & Imaging products like X-Ray, C-Arm, Digital Radiography, and CT systems. The role is based in Vapi, Gujarat, with field visits as needed, aiming to enhance product adoption, clinical workflow efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform live demonstrations and conduct training sessions for healthcare professionals on various radiology imaging technologies including X-Ray, C-Arm, DR, and CT systems.
• Educate radiologists and technicians on optimal device use, image optimization techniques, radiation safety standards, and maintenance procedures.
• Create and deliver compelling presentations highlighting product features, advantages, and clinical relevance.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams during exhibitions and client engagements to promote products effectively.
• Support installation and commissioning teams to ensure smooth product handover and operational readiness.
• Provide clinical and operational assistance during product trials, site acceptance testing, and gather relevant user feedback.
• Diagnose and address basic operational or image quality-related issues in partnership with service engineers.
• Document training sessions, demonstrations, and user inputs meticulously while maintaining compliance with radiation safety norms (AERB) and internal SOPs.
• Update and prepare user manuals, training materials, and demonstration reports to support knowledge dissemination.
• Work closely with Sales, Service, Research & Development (R&D), and Quality assurance teams to facilitate product validation, feature enhancements, and clinical acceptance.
• Support marketing and regulatory requirements by contributing clinical data and case studies.
• Engage in internal product testing phases to ensure market readiness and user experience optimization.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers, ensuring proactive follow-up and excellent service to maintain high satisfaction and confidence post demonstrations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or a Diploma/Degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in clinical demonstration, application support, or technical training focused on radiology and imaging systems such as X-Ray, C-Arm, DR, or CT equipment.
• Preferably experienced in hospital imaging environments or medical device manufacturing industries.
• Comprehensive understanding of radiographic imaging principles, exposure control parameters, and radiation safety protocols.

Skills Required

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of radiology imaging workflows and device functionalities.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in technical environments.
• Ability to engage confidently with clinical staff and hospital management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, presentation software, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
• Willingness to travel extensively within India and internationally for training and demonstration activities.
