Application Engineer - RMC

Role overview

This role is responsible for organizing the smooth and timely dispatch of ready-mix concrete so that productivity targets are met and customers receive a reliable service experience.

The ready-mix concrete market is highly fragmented and intensely competitive. Along with pressure from organized and local competitors, the business must deliver strong service quality and consistent product standards to protect margins. Rapid infrastructure growth also creates opportunities for commercial and dedicated plants. Because plant resources must be used efficiently, the focus stays on cost control, high capacity utilization, profitability, and strong performance across each role’s key responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate batching based on instructions received from the ticketing or customer service team.
• Check whether the required equipment backup is available before starting execution.
• Place manpower at the site to ensure smooth pouring operations.
• Optimize transit-mixer routing so vehicles move safely and reach on time.
• Visit and assess the site before pouring to verify access route, site conditions, timing coordination, and customer quality-control arrangements, and measure the site if needed.
• Arrange pumps, pipelines, transit-mixer movement, and application engineer movement to the concreting location.
• Confirm pumping schedules with the customer well ahead of the planned date and time.
• Prepare, compile, and review the plant plan and budget.
• Stay in touch with customers during execution and collect their feedback.
• Handle on-site issues related to pumping, pouring, and labour management, and escalate matters that cannot be resolved locally.
