About the role
TSMG Holding is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day running of autonomous vehicle and robotaxi fleets. The role supports testing programs, commercial autonomous ride-hailing services, and the rollout of new city operations across Europe.
In this depot leadership position, you will bring together Safety Operators, Depot Specialists, Senior Technicians, and SDS Specialists to keep vehicles safe, functional, and ready for deployment. You will be accountable for fleet availability, operational performance targets, and the smooth scaling of autonomous vehicle services.

Fleet operations management
- Take charge of daily autonomous vehicle and robotaxi operations across one or more depot sites.
- Keep vehicles prepared for testing, commercial deployment, and autonomous ride-hailing activity.
- Track fleet use, vehicle availability, charging plans, and operational readiness.
- Manage the daily flow of vehicle dispatch and returns to improve fleet efficiency.
- Reduce downtime through strong planning and coordination.
Depot operations
- Supervise all robotaxi depot activities so operations remain safe, orderly, and efficient.
- Direct the work of Depot Specialists, Safety Operators, Senior Technicians, and SDS Specialists.
- Make sure vehicles meet cleanliness, charging, inspection, and maintenance requirements before going into service.
- Assist with depot setup and readiness for new city launches and fleet growth projects.
Team leadership
- Hire, onboard, train, and oversee operational employees.
- Build shift rosters that support 24/7 fleet coverage.
- Carry out performance reviews and coaching conversations.
- Encourage a workplace culture centered on safety, accountability, and ongoing improvement.
- Ensure procedures and safety rules are followed consistently.
Client and stakeholder management
- Serve as the main operational point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
- Work daily with engineering, product, technical, and fleet management teams.
- Prepare operational reports, KPI dashboards, and performance summaries.
- Raise operational risks quickly and help define mitigation actions.
- Support customer visits, audits, and operational review meetings.
Operational excellence
- Track performance measures such as fleet availability, vehicle uptime, dispatch efficiency, depot productivity, and operational quality.
- Spot process improvements that cut downtime and strengthen fleet performance.
- Create and roll out standard operating procedures for autonomous vehicle operations.
- Support continuous improvement work during robotaxi scaling and commercial deployment.
Health, safety, and compliance
- Follow company policies, local rules, and operational procedures.
- Build and maintain a strong safety-first mindset across all teams.
- Make sure incidents are investigated, documented, and resolved appropriately.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety expectations for fleet and depot activities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in fleet operations, automotive operations, transportation, logistics, mobility services, or a similar operational setting.
- Prior experience leading operational or technical teams.
- Background in shift-based or 24/7 operations.
- Strong leadership and people management capability.
- Solid organisational and planning skills.
- Experience tracking KPIs and operational results.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to autonomous vehicles, robotaxi fleets, ADAS programs, or automotive testing is preferred.
- Experience with electric vehicle fleet operations is an advantage.
- Prior involvement in launching new operational sites or depots is preferred.
- Knowledge of fleet management systems and reporting tools is beneficial.
- Additional European languages may be helpful depending on the project location.
