Role overview
This position involves supporting day-to-day branch banking activities, assisting customers, and helping the branch achieve its service and sales goals. The role combines customer handling, documentation, and operational support with a strong focus on compliance and relationship management.
Core responsibilities
- Support customers with routine banking needs such as opening accounts, making deposits and withdrawals, and accessing other branch services.
- Respond to customer questions and address complaints in a courteous and effective manner.
- Present and cross-sell banking offerings, including savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, insurance, and loan products.
- Check customer documents and complete KYC-related formalities accurately.
- Keep customer records up to date and ensure data is maintained correctly in the banking system.
- Assist with both cash and non-cash branch operations based on daily requirements.
- Work with other teams or departments to keep branch activities running smoothly.
- Follow bank policies, RBI rules, and internal process guidelines at all times.
- Work toward monthly sales and customer service targets set by the branch.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates who have completed Higher Secondary (12th Pass) are eligible, and applicants with any graduate qualification are preferred. Both freshers and experienced candidates may apply. The age bracket is 18 to 30 years, although it can differ depending on the bank. Applications are open to both male and female candidates.
Skills required
The role calls for strong communication, customer handling, documentation accuracy, basic computer use, and an ability to work toward targets while maintaining good client relationships.
Compensation
Salary ranges from ₹1.8 LPA to ₹2.8 LPA for freshers and from ₹2.5 LPA to ₹4.5 LPA for experienced candidates, depending on the bank, location, and experience. Performance incentives and additional employee benefits may also be offered.
