Role Overview
As a Brewing Technician at the Brewtown Brewery in the Greater Wellington area, you will work closely with the Head Brewer and a team of craft brewers. Your tasks include operating brewing machinery, maintaining cleanliness and equipment, ensuring health and safety standards, performing lab tests when required, and applying problem-solving to improve brewing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate brewing equipment for the full beverage creation cycle
- Carry out regular cleaning and maintenance of brewery plant to high standards
- Identify and resolve losses through continuous process improvement
- Maintain strict health and safety practices within the brewery
- Conduct laboratory testing of products as needed
Candidate Profile
- Genuine enthusiasm for beer or craft beer
- Completed tertiary qualification in Science, Food Science, Engineering or related field
- Minimum one year experience in FMCG process manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and team collaboration ability
- Willingness to pursue the IBD Brewing Diploma
