Role Overview
The Christie NHS Foundation Trust seeks a dedicated Clinical Trials Assistant initially at Band 3, with the opportunity to progress to a Clinical Trials Coordinator at Band 4 after a minimum six-month competency evaluation. This position is part of the GI Research Team within the Research and Innovation division at The Christie.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support to research nurses, consultants, and trial coordination management with various clinical trial administrative and coordination tasks.
- Managing data, completing case report forms, handling invoicing, and maintaining communication with trial sponsors, monitors, and the broader research community.
- Keeping comprehensive electronic records to aid the team and assisting in the establishment of new clinical studies.
- Collaborating with multiple internal departments, research office colleagues, clinicians, and external partners such as trial sponsors and monitors.
Candidate Requirements
- Applicants must meet all essential criteria outlined in the job description as a minimum standard.
- Proficiency in organizational and communication skills combined with administrative experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of clinical trials and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
