Job Purpose

• Conduct site inspections within a multi-disciplinary project team representing AESG to verify the accuracy of tested results.
• Deliver commissioning services that meet AESG's exacting client standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent site inspections in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Evaluate design information, tolerances, and approved working methodologies.
• Assess test procedures and documented outcomes to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry regulations.
• Assist in the review of project documentation for specification and code conformity.
• Clearly and accurately report any issues discovered to senior team members.
• Professionally liaise with contractors' commissioning teams.
• Observe and evaluate installation quality on site.
• Prepare detailed, high-quality site observation reports and related documentation.
• Engage in discipline-specific meetings and workshops when necessary.
• Monitor installations, submittals, and the use of engineering tools, ensuring adherence to project and commissioning directives.
• Track task completions, and prepare lookahead schedules and milestone trackers.
• Maintain detailed diaries of events, system inspections, document reviews, and decisions made by on-site authorities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Educational background in MEP or Building Services Engineering is required: this can be a Degree (BSc Electrical or Building Services Engineering), a College Diploma (HNC, HND or equivalent), a College Certificate (ONC, OND or equivalent), or MEP trade experience paired with a City & Guilds certificate.
• Experience requirements vary accordingly: at least 5 years with an Engineering degree, 6 years with a college diploma, or 7 years with a college or trade certificate.

Certifications

• Registration as an Incorporated Engineer is desirable but not mandatory.
• CSA Grade 4 qualification is preferred but not required.
• Commissioning certifications such as BCA, ACG, or NEBB are advantages but not essential.

General Expectations

• Candidates should possess significant experience and advanced skillsets.
• Ability to independently manage complex tasks effectively.
