Contract Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are looking for a Contract Business Analyst based in Germany to contribute to a significant digital transformation initiative in the energy sector. This role is focused on bridging complex business needs with technical requirements, enabling teams to produce effective, scalable solutions. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, commercial, and domain specialists in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and interpret intricate business processes and energy market demands to formulate precise technical requirements and actionable plans.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, suppliers, and subject matter experts to define and support implementation of requirements.
• Produce in-depth documentation including user acceptance criteria, data mapping, system integration specs, and process diagrams.
• Assist in large-scale transformation programs by driving modernization of legacy systems and transition to updated platforms.
• Ensure coordination and communication between business and technical stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency.
• Support activities related to data migration and prepare systems for successful deployments.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and areas for improvement, proactively aiding mitigation efforts.
• Promote multi-disciplinary collaboration to meet user and operational needs effectively.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in complex technology, digital delivery, or transformation environments.
• Strong skills in analyzing and documenting business processes, technical specs, data flows, and system integrations.
• Experience in authoring clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Background supporting large-scale system transformations or data migration under tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of the UK energy market is a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical details into understandable business language.
• Ability to influence stakeholders using structured analysis and logical recommendations.
• Proactive, meticulous approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely while contributing effectively within team settings.
