  • Develop investment memos, presentations, and recommendations for executive and Board reviews.
  • Create detailed financial models such as long-term projections, discounted cash flow, comparative company analyses, sum-of-the-parts valuations, and returns models.
  • Construct pro forma financial statements and assess accretion/dilution and purchase price accounting impacts.
  • Coordinate due diligence by collaborating with internal teams to gather accurate, timely data and analyze potential targets or partners.
  • Summarize findings including risks and considerations to assist in risk mitigation strategies.
  • Research new partners, potential targets, industry disruptions, and monitor competitive and technological trends.
  • Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties including target companies, industry specialists, investment banks, and advisors.
  • Assist in strategic initiatives and special projects such as new business evaluations, product expansions, international entries, divestitures, and expense management.
  • Prepare and deliver updates and analyses to senior leadership to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Champion a positive culture aligned with SoFi’s values by fostering inclusiveness, belonging, and mentorship within and beyond the Corporate Development team.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, venture capital, strategic finance, or corporate development.
  • Strong analytical skills including financial, valuation, and quantitative analysis with familiarity in accounting and operational metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as well as Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
  • Proven project management capabilities to handle time-sensitive tasks effectively, especially in deal execution environments.
  • Collaborative ability to build inter-team and cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent organization and adaptability to prioritize competing demands under evolving business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly present complex financial data to various stakeholders.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous and rapidly changing environments with eagerness to learn.
  • Strong alignment with SoFi’s mission and culture, including a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Keen interest in global FinTech and adjacent financial industry dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications
