Data & AI Project Lead / Project Manager

About the Role

Linnk Group is seeking a seasoned Data & AI Project Lead / Project Manager for a banking client based in Doha, Qatar. This position involves annual renewable contracts and demands a leader experienced in managing extensive Data and AI projects within financial services.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for project delivery from initial planning to execution, governance, and final closure.
• Coordinate and engage with stakeholders spanning business units, IT teams, and external partners.
• Implement Agile project governance practices, such as sprint planning, backlog maintenance, and progress monitoring using JIRA.
• Lead Project Review Working Groups to ensure timely updates, mitigate risks, and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Oversee vendor activities ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and quality criteria.
• Track and manage project dependencies, risks, issues, and escalations across various workstreams.
• Ensure the successful implementation of initiatives around Data, Analytics, Governance, and AI aligned with organizational goals.

Required Skills and Experience

• Possess over 12 years of experience managing large-scale Data and AI projects, ideally within the banking or financial sectors.
• Have a strong technical foundation in data platforms, analytics ecosystems, and AI solution deployment.
• Demonstrate capability to handle complex stakeholder environments and deliver projects within compressed timelines.
• Hands-on expertise with Agile project management methodologies and tools, including JIRA and other collaboration platforms.
• Exhibit strong leadership, effective communication, and vendor management skills.
• Proven experience leading major transformation initiatives involving Data, Analytics, and AI technologies.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors concurrently.
• Readiness to support immediate project requirements and deadlines.
