About the role
At EaseMyTrip.com, this Data Analyst position plays an important part in turning travel-related data into practical business insights. The role focuses on studying large datasets to uncover patterns, anticipate demand, and support improvements in service quality and customer experience. You will partner with teams across marketing, sales, and customer service to help shape decisions that strengthen operational performance and market outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Collect information from multiple sources and make sure the data remains accurate and well maintained.
- Use statistical methods to examine data and produce actionable business insights.
- Spot trends and recurring patterns in complex datasets to support forecasting and decision-making.
- Prepare recurring reports on important metrics so internal teams can track business performance.
- Build clear charts, graphs, and dashboards that make data easier to understand and present.
- Work with cross-functional teams to solve business problems through data-led analysis.
- Measure how data initiatives are performing and suggest improvements based on results.
- Apply advanced analytical approaches, including machine learning or predictive modelling, to improve forecasts and strategy.
- Manage databases, keeping sensitive information secure while ensuring users can access data for queries.
- Handle ad hoc analytical requests to support urgent decisions or strategic planning.
Preferred profile
- Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting statistics and converting findings into useful recommendations.
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL, Python or R, and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Exposure to big data tools and frameworks like Hadoop or Spark.
- Careful, detail-focused approach when working with large and complex datasets.
- Good problem-solving skills for identifying data-backed solutions.
- Ability to explain complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is preferred.
- Experience managing analytics projects, including planning, execution, and tracking.
- Comfort working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Travel industry knowledge is an added advantage, especially familiarity with its data sources and key metrics.
