About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Data Analyst to join our team in Beaverton, OR. This role supports the Materials Strategic Sourcing initiative focused on a major enterprise project called "Material Transformation," with objectives to simplify material complexity and foster consumer-centric innovation and profitability. The candidate will engage in data analytics, strategy formulation and execution, and build stakeholder relationships aligned with Nike's foundational sourcing objectives: capability, sustainability, profitability, and responsiveness.
Responsibilities
- Support a cross-functional environment by performing diverse tasks depending on project needs.
- Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights related to materials, products, capability, and financial goals.
- Learn and optimize vendor base alignment and capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with materials sourcing, analytics partners in Footwear, and other teams such as Product Development, Sourcing, and Partner Management.
- Contribute to achieving seasonal and long-term sourcing goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- 0-2 years of relevant analytical experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and mathematical skills.
- Skilled in data visualization using Tableau.
- Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Snowflake is advantageous.
- Experience or familiarity with Python or R is preferred.
- Alteryx experience is a plus.
- Ability to process large datasets, conduct analysis, synthesize findings, and communicate insights coherently.
- Project management capabilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
- Effective problem-solving and articulation skills under changing circumstances.
- Strong collaboration skills and a team player attitude.
- Experience or academic background in procurement, operations, or supply chain management is favored.
- A demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset in dynamic settings.
Work Environment & Collaboration
This role reports to the Sourcing Lead within the Footwear Sourcing team and requires effective communication with global and cultural diverse colleagues across multiple departments.
Compensation & Duration
This is a contract position based onsite in Beaverton, Oregon, with a duration of at least 10 months and an hourly compensation rate of $42 on W2 employment terms.
