About the Role

Tap Growth ai is looking for a Data Scientist specialized in geospatial analytics to join their innovative team in Singapore. The successful candidate will focus on spatial modelling and long-term educational infrastructure planning using machine learning techniques. This role involves building predictive models that inform future demand, optimize infrastructure deployment, and transform diverse datasets into actionable insights that benefit the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with planners, analysts, and business stakeholders to define infrastructure and space planning requirements over the long term.
  • Translate complex operational needs into precise analytical frameworks and scalable machine learning solutions.
  • Analyze spatial, demographic, housing, migration, land-use, and accessibility data to extract meaningful planning insights.
  • Design and implement end-to-end ML solutions for geospatial analysis and forecasting education demand.
  • Develop robust data pipelines, feature engineering processes, and model deployment structures enabling production stability.
  • Create, validate, and deploy predictive modeling and geospatial analytics within cloud environments.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources while ensuring data integrity, consistency, and traceability.
  • Utilize spatial regression, time-series forecasting, agent-based modelling, ensemble learning, or deep learning techniques as project demands dictate.
  • Monitor model accuracy by benchmarking predictions against real outcomes and refine models to enhance reliability.
  • Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical teams, and coordinate with development and platform units.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Geospatial Science, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in data science or allied areas, including proven success in delivering deployed machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and usage of data science libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Experience managing the entire machine learning workflow and familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Knowledge of geospatial tools including GeoPandas, QGIS, PostGIS, or ArcGIS is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Preferred exposure to demographic modelling, urban planning, public-sector analytics, or Singapore-specific planning datasets.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is SGD 8000 to SGD 8400.
