Role Overview
As a Data Scientist at OCBC, you will leverage large datasets to develop predictive models and extract insights that empower business decisions and provide competitive advantages. This role involves close collaboration across departments to align data solutions with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and implement predictive models to inform and influence business strategies.
- Examine extensive datasets to uncover trends and actionable patterns.
- Engage with stakeholders to ascertain business requirements and tailor data-driven solutions.
- Create and execute data visualization tools to effectively convey analytical insights.
- Maintain current knowledge of advancements in data science and machine learning to enhance practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in data science or a similarly analytical role.
- Proficient programming capabilities in Python, R, or SQL.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning methods and data modeling approaches.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Genuine enthusiasm for harnessing data to steer strategic business decisions.
