Job Responsibilities

• Interpret client specifications, layouts, drawings, and apply national and international design codes such as ANSI, IEC, IS, API, and European standards.
• Engage in technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding electrical interfaces including signal wiring, mains harmonics, starting currents, motor shaft coupling, and component arrangements.
• Choose appropriate materials for specification releases and provide documentation support for procurement.
• Create Bills of Material using ERP software.
• Perform detailed engineering design for components including motors, variable frequency drives, transformers, generators, grid auxiliaries, and adhere to electricity grid codes.
• Participate in project meetings involving clients and suppliers.
• Collaborate regularly with cross-functional project teams such as system engineering, rotor dynamics, instrumentation, controls, sales, purchasing, quality, and test bench departments.
• Assess electrical characteristics of power generation systems and plants based on certificates and technical documentation.
• Communicate with manufacturers, operators, planners, and grid operators as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in synchronous and asynchronous motors, frequency converters, transformers, coolers, and medium voltage switchgear, including knowledge of explosion protection and engine instrumentation.
• Experience in project management including tracking of deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Proficient business English communication skills.
• Fundamental understanding of IEC standards.
