Engineer - EHS - Site

Role Overview

The Site Engineer for Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) plays a crucial role in facilitating the application of EHS frameworks at the construction project location. This position is tasked with continuously monitoring safety practices, enforcing compliance with established procedures, and proactively detecting potential hazards.

Key Duties

• Carry out daily inspections of various work areas to detect hazards, unsafe behaviors, or dangerous conditions.
• Support compliance efforts by ensuring all activities meet legal and organizational safety standards while maintaining comprehensive EHS records.
• Oversee contractor safety to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment, safe work methods, and compliance with permit-to-work protocols.
• Assist in prompt incident reporting and investigation processes including near-misses, unsafe conditions, and maintaining detailed incident logs to facilitate root cause analysis.
• Coordinate and lead toolbox talks, site inductions, and daily safety meetings alongside site execution teams to increase safety awareness.
