Job Overview
The role involves comprehensive responsibilities in specification preparation, engineering, design documentation, quality control, erection, commissioning, and testing of electrical and control & instrumentation (C&I) systems for 660MW/800MW Thermal Power Plants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop specifications and detailed engineering documentation related to electrical and C&I systems.
- Manage quality control and oversee erection, commissioning, and testing processes for electrical packages.
- Work extensively with electrical systems including Generator AVR/Excitation systems, generator relay protection, synchronization panels, and auxiliary panels like Seal Oil Control and DC Motor Starter panels.
- Apply expertise in electrical system calculations and control systems.
- Use software tools such as MS Office and AutoCAD proficiently.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to collaborate and present ideas within the team.
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and best engineering practices.
- Be prepared to travel up to 50% as per job requirements.
- Comply with ISO standards and Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System protocols.
Knowledge and Skills
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and control & instrumentation systems within thermal power plants.
- Competency in electrical calculations and control system design.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD software applications.
- Strong communication skills for teamwork and reporting.
- Understanding of electrical safety and industry standards including ISO and EHSMS.
Additional Information
The candidate should be prepared for frequent travel as part of the job, approximately 50% of the time, to fulfill project requirements and onsite tasks.
