About the Role
The Comedy team at ABC Hulu is looking for an Executive Assistant to significantly boost the efficiency and workflow of the Content team. This position requires someone highly detail-oriented who excels at maintaining order and effectiveness in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will offer crucial support to two Vice Presidents by managing complex schedules, communication channels, and travel arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage the executives’ calendars and office activities, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
- Coordinate extensive scheduling, handle significant email and phone communications, submit expense and purchase requests, and arrange travel plans.
- Prepare creative feedback and notes related to slate projects.
- Maintain organized contact lists of writers, producers, creative executives, and other pertinent contacts.
- Draft correspondence and create synopses and loglines for episodes included in weekly distributed reports.
- Review materials by reading or watching and provide necessary feedback.
- Offer support to other executives and departmental members as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year administrative assistant experience in a high-volume entertainment setting such as a studio, network, production company, talent agency, or management firm.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
- Sound understanding of television development processes and cycles.
- Familiarity with agencies and networks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice and perform well under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Passion for television, particularly comedy, and a desire to build a career in the TV industry.
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, Google Drive, and cloud-based file management systems such as Dropbox.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
Compensation and Additional Information
The annual salary range for this role in Burbank, CA is between $54,000 and $72,400 for a 40-hour work week, though weekly hours may fluctuate according to business demands. The final salary offer considers geographic location, skills, experience, and internal equity. There is potential eligibility for bonuses or long-term incentives and comprehensive benefits including medical and financial packages, dependent on the level and position.
