About the Role
At Amazon, dedicated to placing customers first globally, continuous innovation fuels growth across diverse domains. The Finance Operations (FinOps) division emphasizes optimizing Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to support expanding markets while complying with regulatory standards in both inventory and non-inventory areas. We seek a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Operations Readiness Team, focusing on transforming and advancing AR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Program Lead to oversee and execute large, multifaceted programs and projects, collaborating with cross-regional teams.
- Interpret business needs into actionable plans, ensuring effective application across personnel, procedures, policies, and technologies.
- Work alongside various teams to validate and implement scalable solutions that satisfy customer expectations and maintain strict control standards.
- Maintain consistent project delivery by adhering to Amazon's governance and methodologies, achieving efficient and sustainable outcomes.
- Identify and address risks proactively, coordinating with stakeholders and preparing contingency strategies.
- Monitor project performance post-launch, reporting key metrics to senior leadership timely.
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve FinOps efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Over three years of experience driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance controllership with measurable impact.
- At least six years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, specifically in Cash Applications and Billing workflows.
- Background in customer-centric roles or businesses.
- Proven ability to operate independently in uncertain or undefined scenarios.
- Strong results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for analytical improvement.
- Diverse experience across finance and accounting functions or proficiency with Oracle software.
