Position Summary

The Business Unit Finance & Pricing Analyst offers financial and analytical assistance to the BU Sales Finance Manager, focusing on price adjustments, forecasting, reporting, and analysis tied to revenue management and finance. This role collaborates closely with various business unit leaders to provide actionable insights enhancing profitability and supports commercial finance teams in planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage price and promotion changes independently, including maintaining pricing structures and promotional schedules.
  • Establish and uphold internal controls to guarantee accuracy and integrity in Pricing and Trade Promotion data.
  • Create analytical tools to assess volume and profit performance, identifying opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions before and after execution, offering guidance to improve ROI.
  • Oversee the Business Unit Annual Financial Plan and monthly forecasting by supplying precise volume and revenue inputs.
  • Conduct variance analyses comparing actual results against plans, forecasts, and previous years, pinpointing areas of risk or opportunity based on performance metrics.
  • Present financial outcome reviews to Sales and Finance leadership teams.
  • Assist General Managers in monitoring business performance to facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Educate business partners on financial and revenue management principles.
  • Support forecasting and month-end closing processes and help interpret variances and trends.
  • Assist in finance results reviews with senior executives.
  • Prepare monthly performance scorecards and perform routine and ad-hoc reporting with insights driving business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics required; Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years in analytical roles such as Sales Finance or FP&A.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy with a passion for delivering excellent results.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Competency in organizing and analyzing large datasets to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in employing financial analysis tools and concepts to drive business success.

Compensation
