Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a driven and proficient Full Stack Developer with a minimum of six years' experience to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable web applications, utilizing both front-end and back-end technologies. This role demands strong problem-solving skills and a passion for crafting high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain web applications using modern front-end frameworks and backend technologies.
• Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces to enhance user experience.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
• Integrate and manage third-party services and external APIs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and fellow developers to fulfill business objectives.
• Optimize performance, ensure application reliability, and uphold security standards.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and clearly documented codebases.
• Conduct unit tests, debug issues, and participate in code review processes.
• Engage actively in Agile/Scrum methodologies and ceremonies.
• Address and resolve production-level problems efficiently and timely.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with UI libraries like Bootstrap, Material UI, or Tailwind CSS and responsive web design principles.
• Backend development expertise with Node.js, .NET Core, Java, or Python (Python is essential).
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices along with authentication protocols like OAuth and JWT.
• Knowledge of databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL options such as MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (preferable).
• Version control proficiency using Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• At least 6 years of comprehensive full stack development experience following software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Functions, Storage, and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Microservices Architecture and DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code.
• A background in enterprise-scale application development.
• Exposure to AI/ML integration projects.

Additional Desirable Attributes

• Familiarity with GraphQL technology.
• Awareness of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience in monitoring and performance optimization tools.
